The Solution To Your Kid’s Weight Loss

Thursday, September 30th, 2010

I can remember the first time I really felt overweight as a child. I decided I was going to be part of the track team in 5th grade. I had some friends that were going so I thought I would try it out. It was open to everyone, anyone could be part of the team. The best part was the track team missed entire days of school while at track meets. After a couple of days, some of the more athletic kids were complaining to the track coach about us (fat kids) being on the team. They were questioning why we should be able to be part of track because we were slow. Since we were right there, the track coach said, “this is how you can tell you are too fat for track.” He had us lift up our shirts in front of everyone, and jump up and down. He said, “If there is something jiggling you shouldn’t be here.” Everyone laughed at us, and I was really embarrassed and ashamed. I did go to one track meet. I was signed up as a long distance runner!

It is really easy to become depressed and quit trying. Later was able to join a basketball team that was very encouraging. Being part of a supportive group, and following a plan made all the difference for me. As a parent and teacher, I now see others in poor health situations. Many kids have been made fun of, and failed so many times that they won’t try. It is our responsibility as parents to get our children to have better health habits.

Many other parents face these same challenges. Kids form bad eating habits, and spend most of their time watching TV or playing video games. And every single one of them are facing a life time of illness, emotional disorder, or worse if they don’t find a solution. The first step is to start doing something, and starting with small steps. To not do anything would be admitting to the final destruction of your child’s future. Being consistent is be a major factor in your success. Too often we do this to ourselves when we diet for a while, only to gain the weight we lost back again within a few months. A program that will give you a plan, and help you stay focused will help you be most successful.

There is so much misinformation and over-hyped gimmicks out there that confusion is often what keeps us from finding a solution that would help you set goals and be consistent.

I have created a free e-book to help all those in this situation. Just sign up on the right to learn some ways to help your family.

Your Kids Weight Loss – Small Steps

Wednesday, September 22nd, 2010

Are you a parent in need of kids weight loss answers?
You came to the right place. Have you tried everything out there only to find none of it worked? Do your kids still not like their vegetables, only want to eat junk and even refuse to eat anything unless you feed them what they want?

There is hope. There are solutions you can do put into action right away.
One suggestion for helping with your overweight kids is to not feel overwhelmed and just take small steps; small changes which over a period of time will add up to BIG changes.
Small steps work because they don’t rock the boat too badly. We all know there is no overnight fast health solution. Sometimes the quickest way to lose weight is to make progress slowly and gradually. If you lose 20 lbs starving yourself and gain 15 back when you give up the impossible task, are you really that much ahead?

I like to set very small goals, like one or two pound increments. That seemed to help me out tremendously, it was easier to think I need o lose 1 pound this week than I need to lose 50 pounds by Christmas.

Another great approach to start your kid’s weight loss is substitution. For example instead of chips and soda give kids fruit and water or juice. Fruit is naturally sweet and may bee an easier substitute than vegetables at first.

And fruit is great for living your new healthy life.

I used this technique extensively in my own personal battle with weight. I started doing small substitutions like grapes instead of that bag of Cheetos. I started drinking more water and less pop. That one was a little more difficult so I liked to use the crystal light packets to add to my bottle of water. Then I slowly removed that also.

So remember to start small, baby steps, try substitution and most importantly get some support. Get started with something today. There is a need for kid’s weight loss in your home and it will still be there until you do something.

Are you concerned about your kid’s weight loss…
Has it become an issue in your home…

We are here to help you with some tips and tricks for helping the overweight kids in your life get their health back quickly, or in some cases to them for the first time ever. Here is a very effective guide to walk you through what to eat and how to exercise. And no, it’s not an intense workout everyday with rabbit food for dinner.

So let me share a few tips for dealing with children.

1. Just say NO!
You do not have to and you should not give overweight kids food every time they say they want it. That goes for healthy kids also. They will not starve to death if you make them wait for a couple of hours. This simple step will pay major dividends very quickly when dealing with the kids weight loss issues. You must be consistent. The struggle and fits only go on for a short time.

2. Eliminate temptations
You must change both your bad health habits and your children’s bad health habits. Get rid of junk food so you are not tempted to give into the wants of your child. They see the example you set for them and that is why it must start with you.
You cannot just remove but you must replace that bad diet with healthy foods. Replace candy bars with fruit, soda pop with water or juice; even tea is good.

3. EXERCISE!
For any fast health plan to work you must add exercise to your routine at least 2-3 times per week. It does not have to be hard only consistent. If you want yours or your kids weight loss journey to be fast and easy then just be consistent. Things get easier when you know what to expect.
Have you ever taken a long trip? On the way out there it seems to take an eternity. On the way back it seems to be shorter. Once you know the path it is easier to walk.

The suggestions here did not come easy for me either but I was just persistent and took it day by day week by week and the results were outstanding. So I know they work.

These are some very simple but very effective ways to help accelerate your kid’s weight loss in a major way. Now it is time to take that action and here is a great tool for you to use.

This is how to turn you body into a fat burning furnace!

Wednesday, September 22nd, 2010

Obesity can shorten your life and seriously affect your physical and mental condition. The number of overweight kids is growing at a frightening rate. We need efficient kids weight loss programs now more than ever before. Parent’s lazy eating habits and even worse their exercise habits are rubbing off on their children and we are now paying the price. There are more obese children now than ever before.

What are some culprits for overweight kids?
Snickers, Coca-Cola, McDonalds, and Playstation just for starters. The whole artificial processed food, dinner in a box thing is not helping either. I know it is hard to say no to this stuff I like it too. It is chemically formulated to taste awesome. What do you expect?
So how do we help kids lose weight?
First there is no fast health recipe that can fix this. It has taken years for us to get overweight kids so children’s weight loss will take time and is a slow process.
Starting with snack and junk food replacement. Instead of soda and sugar give water and fruit or even an occasional vegetable. This is our best road to fast health for our overweight children. Get your kid a basketball instead of a basketball video game. There is no replacement in children weight loss program like exercise. The same goes for adults. We also want to fast health cures and plans. This is the digital information age. I know how you feel if I click on a website and it makes my wait 10 seconds I am out of there.
We need to change our diet and exercise habits now, but slowly. It is our only tool in the kids weight loss battle. If you are tired of overweight kids and really want to see the next generation succeed get involved in an adult and children’s weight loss plan and stick with it. Be the example.
